This is the mid-section of highway US27 and encompasses a number of rental communities from the intersection with US192 down towards Interstate 4. With this area fast becoming where the majority of visitors to the Orlando area will stay, improvements to the roads have made them wider to cater for the additional traffic. Access to the attractions, shops and restaurants is via Interstate 4 or US192. Likewise, a visit to Tampa or the Gulf coast beaches is equally as straightforward via Interstate 4.

Staying in this area means a car is essential when visiting the theme parks, area attractions and the local shops.

Hidden in a small, peaceful cul-de-sac a little over 1 mile south of the intersection between US27 and Interstate 4, Aylesbury offers the tranquillity that is sometimes lost in the hustle and bustle of the theme parks. Built around Floridian orange groves and deliberately avoiding club houses and communal facilities, the houses are comfortable offering private pools and a pleasant, relaxing environment.

Access to the theme parks is straightforward, simply head north on Interstate 4. With US192 en-route and Universal Studios (including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) a few miles past Walt Disney World, this will be the main thoroughfare when visiting the parks. Similarly, if you are looking to head towards the Gulf coast or Busch Gardens (in Tampa), head south - it really is that simple.

If golf is the reason to visit, Aylesbury is ideally located with at least half-a-dozen first-rate courses with 10 miles and even more just around the corner.

Approximately 1 mile north of Aylesbury - just prior to the intersection with I4 is the new Posner Park shopping centre. Here you will find major retailers including a JC Penney department store, Michaels, Target, Ross, Dress for Less and many more smaller shops. For snacks and eating out, local restaurants include Perkins, Denny's, Waffle House, Bob Evans, Beef O'Bradys, the Shamrock pub and a local pizzeria amongst others.

For your nearest WalMart, head 7 miles south on US27 towards Haines City. Alternatively, travelling north for around the same distance (past the intersection with Interstate 4) and there is a Publix supermarket and shopping complex. Eateries alongside include Applebees, Quiznos, an Indian take-away and a wine & bistro parlour.

The ChampionsGate development is around 6 miles away (towards Kissimmee), where you will find another Publix supermarket, a number of local restaurants, as well as the Omni Resort hotel, which offers fine dining for that special occasion.
