This is the southern end of US27, where it meets Interstate 4 and encompasses a number of rental communities towards the Davenport and Haines City areas. Properties here are set further back from the Orlando attractions, but benefit from purpose built, newer developments in conservation areas. The offset of this is that shops and restaurants are predominantly towards Haines City and a car is essential. That said, the area is a must for golfers, with so many fantastic courses in the area to choose from.

With Interstate 4, US27 and SR17/92 routes all available, access through to the theme parks, attractions, shops and restaurants is straightforward.

Community Information & Reviews

A new Calabay Parc gated development offering an array of luxury properties with views over Tower Lake. Making full use of the lake, the community offers the more active guests an array of water sports, along with peace and quiet for the more sedate fishermen. There is also a community clubhouse to swap fisherman`s tales and picnic area alongside to watch the world go by (or the boats)!

For golfers there is the Southern Dunes County Club and course which borders the community and lake, so no excuses.

When staying towards Haines City, expect a more rural, less glitzy feel - which can be a big plus to many visitors. Restaurants will not be as busy at peak times, prices will not be overly inflated and yet all parks are accessible by heading north on Interstate 4.

Shops & Restaurants

Shops and restaurants are located more towards Haines City, with a local WalMart, Winn-Dixie and Walgreens Pharmacy all less than 2 miles away. Here you will also find Quiznos, T-Bones steakhouse, Beef O'Bradys, Taco Bell, Burger King, MacDonalds and a Chinese buffet amongst other eateries.

The newly opened Posner Park shopping outlet is located around 10 miles north of the area (just south of the junction with Interstate 4 and US27). This complex offers many stores, as well as eateries and a British tavern.

In case of emergency, the local medical walk-in centre and regional hospital is less than a mile away.
