Walt Disney World Resort area and the Lake Buena Vista area are very much one in the same. South-east of the Walt Disney World Resort - towards Kissimmee, this area offers a great selection of rental properties, along with countless restaurants, shops, WalMart and Target supermarkets. There is also all the crazy golf you can handle! For an evening with a difference, the Medieval Times dinner show (with knights and horses) is very close by. With limited rental properties available, they are always in demand.
An established and well maintained community of approximately 300 single-storey homes, Chatham Park offers a peaceful alternative to the hustle & bustle of the parks and shopping outlets. There is a large gated pool and tennis courts that are only available to residents and guests. Children have their own play area. For less stressful activities, take a walk around the park and lake to watch the local birdlife.
Back-door routes into Walt Disney World and Seaworld (via SR535 and International Drive), ensure there should never be a problem with traffic.
For golfers there is a host of first-class courses in the area. Chatham Park is an ideally placed community, with quick and easy access to parks, attractions, shopping outlets and restaurants.
Located off the US192, there is the expected array of gift shops, restaurants, supermarkets and bars all within a 5-10 minute drive. Favourites include Chillis, Longhorn steakhouse, TGI Fridays, Taco Bell, Applebees, Olive Garden, Bob Evans, Smokey Bones and even the Medieval Times and Capone dinner shows!!
Spoiled by a choice of supermarkets, there is the local WalMart, Super Target and Publix all within easy reach. With many smaller retail outlets and themed crazy golf courses scattered between the junction of Poinciana Boulevard/US192 and Kissimmee, this area offers a great selection for eating out and working it off afterwards!
Travel a little further towards Kissimmee and you will find the new 'Loop' complex at the junction of Osceola Parkway and John Young Parkway. Here you fill find a further selection of shops, a cinema complex and more restaurants.
