This is the mid-section of highway US27 and encompasses a number of rental communities from the intersection with US192 down towards Interstate 4. With this area fast becoming where the majority of visitors to the Orlando area will stay, improvements to the roads have made them wider to cater for the additional traffic. Access to the attractions, shops and restaurants is via Interstate 4 or US192. Likewise, a visit to Tampa or the Gulf coast beaches is equally as straightforward via Interstate 4.

Staying in this area means a car is essential when visiting the theme parks, area attractions and the local shops.

Bordering a top-class golf course makes Ridgewood Lakes the perfect base for any golfer. Simply step out of bed onto the course. What could be easier?

Located south of the intersection between Interstate 4 and US27, Ridgewood Lakes is a gated community which has been built around the golf course and woodland. Split into two subdivisions called Ridgewood Pointe and The Forest, each offers luxury rental properties of all sizes for visitors in quiet and peaceful setting . For small children there is a play area and as a guest, you can access the clubhouse.

When travelling to the theme parks, simply head north on Interstate 4. With US192 en-route and Universal Studios (including the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) a few miles past Walt Disney World, this is the recommended thoroughfare. Similarly, if you are looking to head towards the Gulf coast or Busch Gardens (in Tampa), head south on Interstate 4.

Head north on US27 for around 3 miles towards the junction for Interstate 4 and you will find the Posner Park shopping centre. Here you will find shops without the busy crowds, with major retailers including a JC Penney department store, Michaels, Target, Ross, Dress for Less, along with other smaller shops. For snacks and eating out, there are a number of local restaurants including Perkins, Denny's, Waffle House, Bob Evans, Beef O'Bradys, the Shamrock pub and a local pizzeria amongst others.

Travel further north (over the Interstate 4 junction) and there is a Publix supermarket and shopping complex. Eateries alongside include Applebees, Quiznos, an Indian take-away and a wine & bistro parlour. The nearest WalMart is a little over 4 miles south of Ridgewood Lakes on US27 towards Haines City.

The ChampionsGate development is around 7 miles away (towards Kissimmee), where you will find another Publix supermarket, a number of local restaurants, as well as the Omni Resort hotel, which offers fine dining for that special occasion.
